Data Deletion

Last updated: April 25, 2026

You can request deletion of all your data at any time. We will irreversibly delete most data within 30 days; the exception is data that we are required by law to retain (in particular accounting and tax records) — see "What Will NOT Be Deleted" below.

Option 1: Disconnecting a Specific Integration

If you want to remove data from a specific connected service (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, Meta Ads, Sklik, Heureka.cz, Heureka.sk, Shoptet, Shopify, Upgates) while keeping your Margly account:

  1. Log in to your account at app.margly.io
  2. Go to the Data Import section (Settings)
  3. Find the integration you want to disconnect
  4. Click "Disconnect"

What happens:

  • The access token is immediately revoked
  • All data from that service is deleted
  • Other data in your account remains unaffected

Option 2: Deleting Your Entire Account

To irreversibly delete your Margly account and all associated data:

  1. Send an email to support@margly.io from the email address associated with your account
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days
  4. All data will be irreversibly deleted within 30 days

What Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, we will irreversibly remove:

  • Account information — email, billing address, settings
  • E-commerce data — orders, customers, products, margins
  • Advertising data — campaigns and metrics from Google Ads, Meta Ads, Sklik (Seznam.cz), Heureka.cz and Heureka.sk
  • Analytics data — traffic from Google Analytics and Search Console
  • Costs — uploaded files, manual entries, AI imports
  • Advisor — all analyses and recommendations
  • My Tasks — all tasks and their evaluations
  • Notifications and logs — notifications, sync history
  • Tokens and integrations — OAuth tokens for all services

Deletion is irreversible. Once deletion is complete, data cannot be recovered.

What Will NOT Be Deleted

Due to the Provider's statutory obligation to retain certain categories of records, the following will be retained even after the account is deleted:

  • Accounting and tax records (invoices issued by Margly, Stripe payment documents) — retained separately for the period prescribed by Czech Act No. 563/1991 Coll. on Accounting and Act No. 235/2004 Coll. on VAT (up to 10 years);
  • Security event logsnecessary to demonstrate compliance with the Provider's obligations (authorizations, security incidents, supervisory requests);
  • Anonymized aggregated metrics on service usage — these do not allow identification of the User and are used to improve the Application.

These records are not used to operate the Application or shared with third parties beyond what is required by law.

Backups and Time to Complete Deletion

Following irreversible deletion, data may persist briefly in backup systems (typically up to 30 days from deletion) before being automatically rotated out. After backup rotation, the data is physically inaccessible, including from those systems. Access to backups is limited to a small group of Provider administrators.

Data from Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

In accordance with Meta platform requirements: when disconnecting the Meta Ads integration or deleting your Margly account, all data obtained from the Meta Marketing API — including campaign performance, advertising metrics, and demographic breakdowns — is irreversibly deleted from our systems. No Meta data is retained after disconnection.

Data from Google

When disconnecting Google integrations (Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console) or deleting your account, all data obtained from Google APIs is irreversibly deleted. OAuth tokens are revoked and deleted immediately upon disconnection.

Deletion of Data on the Side of Third-Party Platforms

When you disconnect an integration (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, Meta Ads, Sklik, Heureka.cz, Heureka.sk, Shoptet, Shopify, Upgates), we delete data on our side (from the Margly database). Deletion of data about you on the side of the respective platform takes place in their systems and is not under our control. For complete deletion of data on Google or Meta's side, please follow these platforms' instructions directly:

  • Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
  • Meta: facebook.com/settings?tab=applications

The Provider bears no liability for the speed, completeness or success of data deletion within third-party systems.

Specifics for Shopify App Store Installations

If you installed the Application as a paid add-on from the Shopify App Store, the following rules apply additionally, derived from the Shopify uninstall protocol and mandatory GDPR webhooks:

  • Uninstallation from Shopify Admin: As soon as you uninstall the Application from your store, Shopify immediately delivers the app/uninstalled webhook to us. In response, we invalidate access tokens, halt synchronizations and mark your account as inactive. Your business data remains retained for a 30-day period(see "Automatic Deletion" below) to allow for potential reinstallation.
  • Mandatory GDPR shop/redact webhook: Shopify delivers a GDPR redaction webhook to us approximately 48 hours after uninstallation. In response, we perform an immediate and irreversible deletion of all business data of your account regardless of the 30-day period, in accordance with Shopify App Store requirements.
  • Mandatory GDPR customers/redact webhook: If Shopify requests deletion of data for a specific end customer of your store (the data subject has exercised the right to erasure against you as the controller), we will perform the corresponding erasure of personal data of that customer in our systems as well.
  • Payment and billing information:In the case of this installation, your payment information and subscription invoices are managed exclusively by Shopify, not by the Provider. For payment statements, tax documents or refund requests, contact Shopify Support or use the "Bills" section of your Shopify Admin.

Automatic Deletion

If your subscription expires and you do not activate a new plan within 30 days, your data will be automatically and irreversibly deleted. During the 30-day period, we send email reminders:

DayReminder
0Notification of transition to inactive mode
3Reminder with reactivation option
7Information about remaining time
14Halfway mark — call to activate
219 days remaining until deletion
27Final reminder — 3 days remaining

After the 30-day period expires, data is deleted without further notice.
